- Powerful construction technique with cutting edge technology and head-turning “retro” styling only begin the story. Come aboard to truly appreciate a boat designed without boundaries.
- Sound attenuation is the new frontier of yacht performance and Blue Star is leading the way with our new MKII hull. A worldwide research project brought a combination of forces to bear on this remarkable success story. Please sea trial the competition in any condition at any speed and compare the results with what we offer. Noise and vibration abatement greatly impact your quality of life on board.
- The Mark Ellis designed deep V hull with its unique deep “U” technology guarantees a smooth, soft ride. Revolutionary new hydrodynamics give the 36.6 better speed with the same horsepower than her competition. Shockingly powerful, the 36.6 is not a flat bottom fair-weather sailor.
- Modern design embraces the benefits of a “Great Room.” Blue Star introduces you to an architectural “Great Yacht” which achieves openness and light by deleting walls and expanding windows to the fullest extent. The entire crew is included by a flow of space that allows everyone to share the adventure together.
The 36.6 is designed with wide-open spaces to embrace a view of the water. This boat is NOT a cave. Luxurious accommodations are combined with the latest in construction techniques in hand laid biaxial roving and liasil unidirectional roving. Thixoptropic modified epoxy resins are used with Core Cell structural linear polymer foam. Wood is never used in the fiberglass structure of a Blue Star.
Accommodations
Start with a generous island berth forward with private access to the head. A true adult size completely separate stall shower keeps the steam out of the interior & the head. The Standard layout includes a dinette or large settee that converts to a real double berth.
The galley is more than a decoration; it is designed for use with ample storage & room for the chef. Elegant, highly varnished solid teak joinery throughout the interior complements the white bulkheads that visually connect the open spaces of the boat.
A proper helmsman’s bench seat highlights the helmdeck and compliments the comfortable L settee to port. An oversized navigation station has an open connection to the galley. The helm is bright and far more spacious than any other yacht in her class. The open cockpit abounds with storage and the side decks are generous and easily navigated. Safety is assured by an oversized custom-welded bowrail brought all the way to the cockpit.Visionary Mark Ellis has exceeded expectations in the marriage of technology with panache.
